Targhee NF in Wyoming -
September, 2001

While exploring a little known road in between Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, I discovered a colorful and lush landscape. This small meadow is probably filled with snow and snowmelt until late July each year. As these bushes end their very short growing season, the magnificent crimson hues surrounded by towering pines provide brilliant displays.
